简　　介

　　生活在英国伦敦的亚瑟·科普斯（丹尼尔·雷德克里夫 Daniel Radcliffe 饰），晚年他的妻子临蓐时身亡，儿子虽然灵巧智慧，可是亚瑟始终沉醉在亡妻之痛中没法自拔，面上的愁云久久不曾散去。某天，他受派前往某偏僻村镇处置一位孀妇的遗产。在这个寂静甚至有些阴霾的小村落，亚瑟遭到了诸多礼遇，人们似乎并不接待他的到来，时辰希望他尽早处置完事务回到伦敦。亚瑟不固他人的劝说，兀自走入老孀妇位于滩渚中心的老屋子观察。在此时代，村中有女孩古怪灭亡，而亚瑟也经常在老宅四周看到希奇的人与气象。他的到来渐渐揭开村里的奥秘，也使自己堕入莫大的危险当中……
