　　1945年6月28日，某大学结业舞会，男青年罗伊（Timothy Wahrer 饰）和他的女友弗兰西丝?罗斯玛丽?凯瑟姆（Joy Glaccum 饰）被人残暴杀戮，凶手始终着落不明。弗兰西丝身为校带领的父亲（Lawrence Tierney 饰）悲伤过度，今后制止举行任何形式的庆贺舞会。
