　　单亲家庭长大的Jamie（Glen Berry）由于不爱活动，在黉舍显得很分歧群，上学成为他最头疼的事，而随着年龄的增加，他同母亲的交换也有了障碍，特别在母亲交了个鲁莽憨直的男友后，他更不知若何与母亲相处。他的邻人，英俊的小伙子Ste（Scott Neal）与他相比，也好不到哪儿去，Ste经常遭嗜酒如命的父亲和哥哥拳打脚踢。
