◎简　　介

　　弗兰克（罗伯特·米彻姆 Robert Mitchum 饰）是一位救护车司机，一天，一位名叫凯瑟琳（芭芭拉·欧内尔 Barbara O'Neil 饰）的妇人由于煤气中毒而坐上了弗兰克驾驶的救护车，弗兰克就此熟悉了凯瑟琳的女儿戴安（简·西蒙斯 Jean Simmons 饰），戴安是一个既美丽又聪明的女孩，弗兰克很快就坠入了情网，而戴安似乎也对弗兰克分外热情，没过量久，弗兰克就辞掉了工作，成为了戴安家的司机。                                    
                                随着时候的推移，戴安所表示出的各种异于凡人的行为和她家中凝重诡异的氛围让弗兰克起头思疑，这个女孩底子没有表面看起来的那末天真烂缦，当他想要逃离这个庞大的漩涡之时才发现，自己早已经无处可逃。
