　　Tim Burton 工作室继【圣诞夜惊魂】以后又一部建造的模子动画，论述孤儿 James 想要逃离姑妈的凌虐到悠远的大都会纽约去，但是奥秘老人给他的魔法鳄鱼舌却意外散落在庭院里，也是以长了一颗大桃子，James 进入巨桃里熟悉了六只大昆虫，於是他们结为好伙伴，配合应用聪明尽力让桃子飞天渡海，以期能让胡想成真。此故事在美国事很是著名的儿童故事，故本片的卖点不在剧情而是在拍摄技能，这是迪士尼继【圣诞夜惊魂】后又一操纵模子静态拍摄的作品，【圣诞夜惊魂】里的 Jack 出格在本片客串，他饰演凶暴的鬼魂船主。
