　　雷奥（克里斯多弗·兰伯特 Christopher Lambert 饰）已经是一位出尽风头的拳击手，退役后来到加勒比海边的小城卡塔赫纳假寓。但是离别了光辉的职业生活，他忽然对生活茫然无措，只整天混迹酒吧颓丧过活。直到有一天，他迫于生存招聘了一个护工工作，负责照看一个因车祸致使满身瘫痪的女人莫伊尔（苏菲·玛索 Sophie Marceau 饰）。已经精悍好胜的铁娘子莫伊尔，自从车祸无情地夺走她的行动才能后，似乎也夺走了她全数的朝气，虽家赀巨万，她却再也没法感遭到昨日春景，温柔海浪。恍如被生活掏空的莫伊尔只能天天躺着消磨余下光阴，并对雷奥的照顾隐恶扬善。但是，两个灵魂在磨擦的同时似乎也在磨合，渐渐地，雷奥不但没被莫伊尔的挑剔吓跑，反而重新找回了生活的魅力，而一天早晨，莫伊尔竟也从雷奥的鼾声中又一次触碰到了生命的意义……
