肖恩的这个新同伴尼克(布伦丹-费尔饰)，看上去并不象是一个百无聊赖、漫无目标的观光者。他是一个“猎手”，一个四周游荡又无家可归的年轻人，他的猎物还是"血淋淋的"。在深夜无人的高速公路上，一群人凶残地吸食那些不幸的受害者。一句话，他们是吸血鬼。肖恩底子就没想到尼克正害着这类"吸血病"，几个月以来尼克一向在跟踪着林林总总的人。肖恩与他的这位怪异的“副驾驶”上路以来，全部早晨他都稀里糊涂地停了一会又一会。看来，他将永久也加入不了他姐姐的婚礼了。
当肖恩和尼克搭载上了苍茫而惊魂未定的梅甘(伊莎贝拉-迈科饰)时，追杀的杀手们以为她死了就放过了她。梅甘不可是个受害者，她还是一小我类的诱饵。肖恩不竭被她的懦弱和美丽所吸引。当肖恩自己也被染上这类致命的病菌时，他的胜算更小了。尼克继续躲避肖恩的题目，但最初，经过一场剧烈的争辩，他被迫向肖恩率直了一切----能治愈他们"疾病"的唯一法子就是杀死吸血鬼的主体----阿谁吸血鬼团伙的邪恶头目基特(乔纳森-谢尔彻饰)。这是一场惊险的灭亡与时候的赛跑，假如他们失利的话，他们将与对手遭碰到一样的命运----永久成为那伙得寸进尺的不死鬼中的一员。
