　　孀妇黛莉拉（凯特卡普萧饰）在漫天风尘的堪萨斯州小镇上，经营了一个牧场，奥秘的她平生坎坷，无药可救的沉溺在酒精、卷烟与性爱上，她天天城市叫一个牧场的男工人来陪她留宿，这些工人们底子没有拒绝的余地。黛莉拉的身旁随着一个孤僻的儿子菲宝，他完全受控于母亲，虽然已长大成人，可是却是极真个纯真害臊。一日，年轻性感的流浪汉克雷（文斯法汉饰）来到了这个小镇，被先容到黛莉拉的牧场工作，他也不破例的被女老板勾引留宿，可是，克雷爱的是美丽的凯蒂（艾许莉贾德饰），因而大胆拒绝了女老板的要求，不外，他却与菲宝成了好朋友。随著两人越来越稠密的友谊，菲宝渐渐走出自闭的小空间，起头晓得抵挡母亲，妒忌的黛莉拉想尽方式要让两人相互危险，一场愿望与忿怒交织的战争在牧场上延烧开来……
