◎简　　介
　　　　超级病毒“金美拉”和抗生素在输送途中，被可骇构造头子Sean Ambrose（ Dougray Scott  饰）盗走，Ethan Hunt（Tom Cruise 饰）率领他的IMF小组接管中情局的使命，找回病毒。                                                                    　　此次，Ethan Hunt找到了女飞贼Nyah Nordoff-Hall（Thandie Newton  饰）同伴，后者是Sean Ambrose的前女友。Ethan Hunt在获得Nyah信赖的同时，二人也暗生情愫。                                                                    　　可是，为了完成使命，Ethan Hunt不能不放置Nyah回到Sean Ambrose身旁卧底。                                                                    　　Nyah终究打探出病毒地点的药厂，接获情报的Ethan Hunt前往药厂预备烧毁病毒；另一边，Sean Ambrose已经发觉出了Nyah回到自己身旁的真正目标，构造人马在药厂期待Ethan Hunt自投罗网。                                                                    　　剧烈的奋斗中，Nyah为了帮助Ethan Hunt完成使命，将病毒注入了自己体内，只要在20个小时之内将抗生素注入Nyah体内，才能拯救她的人命，Ethan Hunt又将面临不成能的使命。
