　　我们总是以为已经看到了、想到了世上一切的画面。几年来，我一向在寻觅缺失的画面。这是一张由红色高棉在统治柬埔寨期间拍摄于1975年及1979年之间的照片。这一张照片并不能证实红色高棉的虐政，但它足以使人思考、深思及复原历史真相。我在祖国的档案、证件及宣传材料里寻觅无果。现在我晓得了，这张照片的缺失自有其来由，我停止了寻觅。这张照片能否淫秽下贱，毫无意义呢？我决议自行建造一张照片。明天我向大师展现的，并非一幅画面，而是用电影手法对换查进程加以记录。某些画面本应缺失，由其他画面来取代；这里有生命、斗争、疾苦、美丽、消失脸庞的哀痛、对历史事务的了解；偶然甚至是文雅和勇气：但绝不是忘记。
