　　史托佛一家有三兄弟，小弟马歇尔德是两个哥哥欺侮嘲笑的工具，可是在1967年，马歇尔12岁的那一年炎天，一切的工作都纷歧样了......史托佛佳耦买了一台二手的16毫米摄影机，为男孩们开辟了视野，他们发现了比玩弄弟弟更风趣的事。透过摄影机的镜头，他们才晓得本来住家四周的树林间，有着很多美丽奇妙的野生生物，并深深为此情此景所感动，因而他们决议进一步记录美国行将消失的野生天下。那年炎天，三兄弟踏上了探险之旅，一路上，他们碰到五花八门的危险生物与人类种族，并曾有屡次在野地死里逃生的经历，可是，即使面临着饥饿的鳄鱼，忿怒的大熊，他们仍不忘记摄影机的带子继续转动。三兄弟从这趟冒险之旅中，进修到若何尊严重自然，及相互信赖的真理。
