　　对于大一新生亚当·巴克利（特拉沃·摩根饰）来说，他意想到自己间隔加入兄弟会唯一一步之遥了，只要他可以挺过最初一关的话……很快，亚当就发现自己被人蒙上了眼睛，坐在一辆货车的后座上，他行将面临的是一场严重且辣手的考验，他不能欠亨过抢劫一家高真个自助食品商铺来获得加入兄弟会的答应。但是，仅仅过了几分钟，他却亲眼目击了别的一个立誓入会的同伴在抢劫的进程中遭到了枪击。
　　弗兰克（乔恩·福斯特饰）无疑是兄弟会中最有势力的成员之一，所以他才能负责照看这些只能在夜间举行的“入会仪式”，原本，他完全可以让那位身受枪伤的伙伴在世走出被抢劫的食品商铺的，可是，他明显还没成心想到，兄弟会的麻烦才刚刚起头而已……最初的时辰，弗兰克希望可以在不用将伤者送进医院的情况下让一切规复安静，他以为，兄弟会可以自己将工作处置的很好——但是，随着他们的每一次行动都制造出了接连不竭的灾难，亚当渐渐地意想到，他不能反面弗兰克以及其他兄弟会的成员匹敌，就为了拯救他好朋友的生命。
