◎简　　介

　　中国武术队赴三藩市表演，武术冠军李国南（李连杰 饰）赢得合座喝彩，台下观众席上的阿友（周星驰 饰）大为佩服。武术团成员王威（狄威 饰）自感年数渐大，前途暗淡心中苦闷，在武术团登机返国之时，王威离队留美，国南出头挽留，反而也被滞留美国。王威在机场脱身时袭警，扳连国南被警方拘系，面临牢狱之灾。经亲戚阿平先容，王威加入了黑帮华人头子马科一伙，而此时，国南趁警车遭受车祸，奋力逃走。国南想从阿平处探问王威着落，后者却因卷入帮派仇杀身亡，由越南赴美的阿平姐姐阿玲（利智 饰）自此落空依靠。王威在帮派中做大，独当一面，阿玲则为了保存做了马科的情人，此时国南寄宿在阿友的小店中谋生并寻觅返国的机遇。王威的毒品在混战中被阿友拾走，这群漂泊异乡的华人的命运，是以又联系到了一路……
