　　质朴善良的青年阿锦（托尼·贾 Tony Jaa 饰）自幼发展在泰国一个原始森林中，村民们日出而作，日落而息，过着和蔼恬静的生活。他们以大象作为交通工具和助手，人与动物间建立了深厚的友谊。阿锦的父亲曾是一位皇家保护，他在闲暇之余教儿子进修泰拳，好有朝一日进宫保卫国王。
　　父亲经心饲养大象，在泼水节当天奉求村长将大象献给国王。谁知村长犯上反叛，将大象转手卖给黑帮，诡计销往澳洲攫取暴利。他们不择手段，还打伤了阿锦的父亲。愤慨的年轻人单身闯入黑帮老巢，与这群犯警之徒展开大战。当得知大象正被送往悉尼，阿锦绝不犹豫，单身前往，由此踏上一条布满灭亡危险的门路……

◎幕后揭秘

　　Tony Jaa的上部作品《拳霸》以无特技、无替人使全天下的观众张口结舌，泰拳第一次在银幕上风光无穷，《拳霸》在天下各地遭到极大接待，成为了泰国史上票房最高的电影。除了票房很高外，《拳霸》还获得了2004年法国杜维尔电影节亚洲影展最好行动片奖，凭仗电影《拳霸》，Tony Jaa从冷静无闻一跃成为国际武打明星。《冬阴功》是《拳霸》原班人马拍摄的影片，Tony Jaa为此片练了很多新的打架招式，表现了他应战极限、不竭求新求变的精神。影片大部分场景在澳大利亚，摄影写实性很强，整部影片的气势比起前作《拳霸》有增无减。
