简　　介  

　　对于奥秘的印度，诞生在澳大利亚的女孩露丝（凯特·温丝莱特 Kate Winslet 饰）一向心驰向往，一次冲动听心的印度之旅后，露丝不惜违反怙恃的志愿滞留在此地以完成自己久长以来的胡想。为了心爱的女儿可以回到身旁，露丝的怙恃雇佣了一个名叫沃特斯（哈威·凯特尔 Harvey Keitel 饰）的男人，让他以精神教导师的身份接近露丝，以到达劝说她回家的目标。
　　在隐蔽的小屋里，露丝和沃特斯起头了为期三天的心灵疗程，而在这三天里，两人的心灵之间发生了难以用语谈吐述的剧烈碰撞，随之发生了奇妙的化学反应。在顺从与驯服之间，在愿望和禁止当中，感情渐渐失控的两人可以为心灵找到终极的归宿吗？
