　　19岁的何塞与母亲在瓜地马拉市相依为命，他在餐厅打工揽客，母亲则在公车站摆摊卖三明治。在这个被守旧天主教和福音基督教主导、极端贫困又险象环生的国家，何塞更是没法公然自己的同道身份，也背负着照顾终生未嫁母亲的严重义务。为了满足愿望，何塞只能在城市的隐密角落中留连，以及透过手机结交软件，才能得以与汉子长久豪情。但是，在遇上帅气又温柔的加勒比海移民青年路易斯后，何塞终究尝到初恋的甜蜜滋味，但这份灼热的恋爱也带来社会忌讳和自我认同的疾苦与挣扎。原本已对未来不抱希望的何塞，能否把握缔造崭新人生的一线契机？ 本片获得威尼斯电影节最好同道影片酷儿狮奖。
