简　　介  

　　乔纳森是纽约著名的豪富豪，由于身患沉痾感觉自己命未几矣，他决议见一见自己的儿子约翰（查尔斯·劳顿 Charles Laughton 饰）和他的未婚妻葛洛莉亚。不巧的是，葛洛莉亚由于意外而没法按时赴约，为了了结父亲的心愿，约翰找来了衣帽间工作的安妮（狄安娜·德宾 Deanna Durbin 饰），拜托她冒充自己的未婚妻。让约翰和安妮没有想到的是，乔纳森不但对安妮非常的满足，还由于心情愉悦而致使病症转好，规复了健康。
　　乔纳森举行了一场盛大的晚宴来接待自己的准儿媳，还由于安妮爱好音乐，而决议把她举荐给自己熟悉的音乐大师们。眼看着这一出闹剧愈演愈烈，葛洛莉亚也由于晓得了安妮的存在而妒火中烧。
