　　1908年，阿戴琳（布蕾克·莱弗利 Blake Lively 饰）诞生了，一晃眼27年曩昔，已经阿谁哇哇哭泣的小婴儿已经长大成人，组建了属于自己的家庭，成为了一位母亲。但是，就在这人生中最幸运的时辰，一场意外的发生让阿戴琳盘桓在生死的边沿并终极荣幸的死里逃生，但是，很快，阿戴琳就发现，自己的身材发生了某些奇妙的变化，她居然不再变老，而是永久的逗留在了27岁。
　　具有永久的生命这件事听起来很妙，但现实上却布满了疾苦，随着时候的推移，阿戴琳所爱的人们渐突变老，并终极分开了她，留下阿戴琳一人在这人间，沉醉于无尽的孤独当中，阿戴琳封锁起了自己的心里，不再与外界交往，就这样过了近八十年，此时，一位名叫艾利（米契尔·哈思曼 Michiel Huisman 饰）的汉子走进了阿戴琳的生命。
